Terms of Service

The terms for using sophonz: plans, billing, cancellation.

These terms cover st (the command-line program), the sophonz account service, the iPhone and Android apps, and this website. They are provided by the sophonz labs team at INOBS Inc. ("we"). Contact: support@sophonz.io.

1. What we provide

• st runs on your own computer. Terminal sessions stay there; they are not moved to our servers.
• What we provide is the account, the machine list, notifications, and an address that reaches your computer from outside.
• Features change. We write down the ones that matter on this site and in the apps.

2. Accounts

• An account belongs to one person. Do not share sign-in details.
• What happens on machines registered to an account is the account holder's responsibility.
• You can delete the account at any time (account deletion).

3. Plans

• Free has no time limit. Three machines keep working.
• A machine past the free limit loses its account features (fixed address, notifications, listing). The terminal on that computer does not stop.
• If we change prices we do not apply it to a period already paid for, and we tell you before the next renewal.

4. Billing

• Payments are processed by Paddle, which is the seller of record for the transaction. Receipts, tax and payment methods are governed by Paddle's terms. We provide the service.
• Switching to Pro is not charged for seven days. Cancel inside that week and there is no charge at all.
• After that it renews automatically on the period you chose. Cancellation and refunds are in the refund policy.

5. What not to do

• Use it to break the law, or to reach systems you have not been allowed to reach.
• Resell the service, or use our infrastructure as a relay inside your own product.
• Create notifications, tunnels or accounts automatically to get around a limit.

If we find this, we may suspend the account. If we do, we say why.

6. Warranty and liability

• The service is provided as it is. We do not warrant that it fits a particular purpose.
• Our liability is capped at what that account paid in the three months before the problem. For a free account that is nothing.
• The commands run on your computer, and their results, are yours. We do not decide what is typed into a terminal.

7. Changes

If these terms change we update the effective date on this page, and we email paying accounts about changes that matter. If you do not want a change, cancel.

8. Governing law

The laws of the Republic of Korea apply, with the Seoul Central District Court as the venue. Consumers keep the rights their own country's law gives them.
